Over the past year, we have implemented many functions for you that make working with smatrix even easier.
Now, with smatrix 2.7, we are pleased to provide you with two major new features that were particularly important to you in our customer survey and in personal discussions: the evaluation function for statistical outliers and the interface to the market-leading trial management software ARM. We have also added a plus/minus feature to make monitoring easier.
The added value of the new features for you at a glance:
Our new interface between smatrix and ARM now allows you a flexible and integrated workflow with one of the leading trial management systems. If you use ARM, you create your trial there as usual, export it and then import it into smatrix with just a few clicks. The trial opens automatically after going through the import dialog once. So you can easily enter the data by voice.
Alternatively, you also have the option of exporting an ARM rating shell as an Excel file from ARM and importing it into smatrix.
Due to the specific requirements of an ARM import, the trial view differs slightly from imports from other trial management systems and also from trials created in smatrix. Details can be found in our manual.
The new outlier search makes your data collection even more convenient and secure. You specify which values you want to compare with each other, for example all values for the same treatment. If smatrix detects deviations during the comparison, you can check the conspicuous values one after the other and correct them directly. Accidental incorrect entries can thus be corrected quickly and easily on the spot during the trial.
Sometimes it is necessary to count a trait step by step - for example, when scoring for the number of pests per plant. With several leaves - or other sub-areas - the question arises: where to put the in-between values without losing the overview? Especially if there are also several pathogens on the leaves. With the new voice commands "Plus<value>" or "Minus<value>", smatrix now supports you even better when counting. In this way, the existing value of a cell can be increased or decreased by a certain value. Simply say "Plus five" or "Minus three", for example, and smatrix will add or subtract the value already entered as required.
With the features of Release 2.7, you now have completely new options for trial management.
